Archive Kabinett e.V.

Archive Kabinett is a non-profit project space in Berlin-Wedding. It was founded in 2009 and was located until recently in Kreuzberg. Archive Kabinett is a platform for cultural research and debate: a space for exhibitions, discussions, lectures, performances, screenings, workshops and the co-production of interdisciplinary cultural practices.

Archive Kabinett is engaged in a wide range of activities including exhibition making and publishing. It is both an exhibition space and an open access archive/library that offers a collection of texts on historical and contemporary art practices, social and political movements. While not being limited to archives and archiving, it aims to provide an infrastructure and conceptual framework for artistic and theoretical publishing, and other forms of collaborations between activists, artists, curators, designers, writers, editors and cultural practitioners from various fields with the aim to foster a unique space for discussion and exchange.
