Art Laboratory Berlin

Art Laboratory Berlin (ALB) is a international, interdisciplinary research and exhibition platform focussing on art, science and technology. ALB was co-founded and is run and curated by art theoretician and curator Regine Rapp and artist and curator Christian de Lutz. The award-winning association ALB collaborates with international art institutions, universities and laboratories.

ALB has created sustainable interdisciplinarity between Arts & Science, building constructive synergies between artists and scientists, to enable transparency and content production. What we call immersive inductive curatorial practice refers to a form of a close, long-term collaboration with artists, to follow the creative processes and make this visible in the exhibitions. 

With various formats of art education we reach a wide international audience of all ages (exhibitions, artist talks, workshops, seminars, conferences).

Our main emphases (and exhibition series) of the past few years include: Time & Technology, Synaesthesia, [macro]biologies –& [micro]biologies and currently Nonhuman Subjectivities.
