Museum Frieder Burda | Salon Berlin

In the fall of 2016, the Museum Frieder Burda opened the "Salon Berlin" in one of the capital's most vibrant art districts as part of the private collection’s generational change and under the curatorial direction of Patricia Kamp. In changing exhibitions, individual, outstanding positions from the Collection Frieder Burda are presented in a dynamic tension with today’s contemporary art. In so doing, the space of the Salon is not just an exhibition space that presents the history of the collection, but also serves as a site of encounter and dialogue. Salon Berlin would like to transgress borders with exhibition formats of varied thematic and aesthetic emphases. Not only does it want to present urgent positions but also provide intellectual and emotional impulses through art in order to develop necessary visions for a common future.
