It’s not only the hot summer weather that brings a Californian lifestyle to city, there are also 22 Berlin project spaces that will turn into Californian hot spots for the next two weeks. Since Friday, 20 project spaces from Los Angeles are visiting their Berlin counterparts. The exchange project B-LA-CONNECT brings together curators, artists and spaces of both cities to foster the cooperation between the artist communities. Four tours through different Berlin districts guide visitors to the project spaces and the exhibitions of their LA partners. Until June 23, panel discussions, performances and film screenings will add to the program. The complete program with all activities is accessible online on the project’s website.
Some of the project spaces that take part in the exchange program are also this year’s and former partners of Berlin Art Week, as HORSE & PONY from Neukölln or former partners HILBERTRUAM, AXEL OBIGER, ACUD MACHT NEU, KRONENBODEN, ROSALUX and SCOTTY.
