For the second time, the VBKI-Preis BERLINER GALERIEN is awarded by the Verein Berliner Kaufleute und Industrieller (VBKI) in cooperation with the Landesverband Berliner Galerien (lvbg) – it will be awarded during Berlin Art Week. The award aims to reach young galleries of contemporary art based in Berlin who present an outstanding exhibition project. Recently, the VBKI has announced this year's shortlist:
The Galerie Dittrich & Schlechtriem presents a walk-in sand installation by Italian artist Nicola Martini – it is the artist’s first solo exhibition is Berlin.
The Galerie Schwarz Contemporary dedicates its programme to Berlin-based artist Marlon Wobst and presents a never-before-seen group of works on felted wall art.
Daniel Marzona is nominated with an exhibition of works by Aron Mehzion – the artist deals with physical and mathematical questions of mirror symmetry.
The award ceremony of the VBKI-Preis BERLINER GALERIEN will take place during Berlin Art Week on September 28, 2018.
