Tomorrow, the KINDL — Centre for Contemporary Art will be opening two exhibitions: one with works by Thomas Scheibitz, whose artistic investigations focus on the interrelation of visual and linguistic information. The artist derives these from elements of architecture and nature or the imagery of media, advertising, and comics. With "Plateau und Halbfigur", Thomas Scheibitz will realise his largest sculptural work ever in the Boiler House at the KINDL.
The second opening of the evening is dedicated to a solo exhibition by Berlin based artist Kathrin Sonntag. "Things Doing Their Thing" shows collages, slide projections and photo installations, including the work "Problems and Solutions", in which Sonntag documents objects and photographs with provisional solutions to everyday problems.
Both exhibitions are still on view during Berlin Art Week.
