PELES EMPIRE

Peles Empire is a non-profit, artist run space with changing exhibitions. The space was established in 2005 by the artist duo Katharina Stöver and Barbara Wolff. The historical interiors of Romania’s Peles Castle, the source of the name, also became material for their art. By photo- copying, quoting, and collaging, they create expansive installations in which the original and the copy, two-dimensionality and three-dimensionality blur. For Berlin Art Week, they will be showing Nona Inescu, Jimmy Robert, and Sung Tieu in their project space. Open by appointment only.
