SUPPORT FOR THE ARTS IN BERLIN: GASAG ART PRIZE 2020

Partnership means standing side by side even in difficult times: The GASAG recently reaffirmed its commitment to the arts, as well as its commitment for Berlin Art Week. Furthermore, in cooperation with the Berlinische Galerie, the GASAG Art Prize for young artists will be awarded again as part of Berlin Art Week. The award is aimed at artists who live in Berlin or have a strong connection to the city and work at the interface of art, technology, and science. Previous award winners were: Julian Charrière (2018), Andreas Greiner (2016), Nik Nowak (2014), Tue Greenfort (2012), and Susanne Kriemann (2010). The GASAG Art Prize 2020 is awarded to Marc Bauer (born 1975 in Geneva, Switzerland). For his exhibition at the Berlinische Galerie the artist is planning a broad-based investigation into the history of the Internet and its impact on society and the individual. Further information on the exhibition can be found here.
