TAKE IT DIGITAL. PART 6

Basel by Berlin
From 19—26 June, the Online Viewing Rooms at Art Basel will make digitally tangible what was originally intended to be seen at the Basel art fair: 283 galleries will present over 4,000 works of art in virtual form. More than 30 Berlin galleries, however, do not want to leave it at the digital level and are additionally showing a selection of their works of art, which were originally planned for presentation in Basel, in physical space. The project ›Basel by Berlin‹ will take place from 16—17 June, from 11 am to 6 pm in Berlin galleries. Esther Schipper, Konrad Fischer Galerie, Meyer Riegger, KOW, and König Galerie, which has also initiated a very special format under the title ›Messe in St. Agnes‹, are among those participating. It’s worth stopping by, whether digital or analogue! (Please check with each gallery for visitors regulations.)

Instagram Take Over with John Miller by Schinkel Pavillon
›An Elixir of Immortality‹, an exhibition about the internationally acclaimed artist, critic, and musician John Miller, has been running at Schinkel Pavillon since 6 June. Since Monday, the artist is also in charge of the institution's Instagram channel, posting a selection of his ›The Middle of the Day‹ photographs in a Take Over. The photos are from a series he took in 1994. They were shot almost daily around noon, while most people were taking a break, and show moments between work and rest. Thus, John Miller makes the start of a take over series that will be continued on the Instagram channel with other participants.
