Role playing Black Swan: organising interdependent art worlds

Participatory live session
12 SEP, 2—4pm

Join our organisational laboratory 12 SEP, 2—4pm for a role playing activity set in a fictional Berlin where art institutions and museums have become research and development labs for cultural innovation.

As a core stakeholder, you are invited to an executive meeting to contribute to a report on emerging trends in the arts. Together with our lead strategists, you will evaluate the threat that decentralised funding organisations and artist unions pose to the survival of the corporate-facing art industry as a whole.

On the agenda are the following questions:

  • Who are gatekeeping the arts? How do they make decisions?
  • What role do artists - and art more generally - play in society?
  • What is the value of art?
  • What does the art funding landscape look like and how did we get here?
  • How do legal, economic, and technological infrastructures shape what art has become?

We wish you a pleasant visit! Please note the special access conditions 2020 and the ticket information
